  • All options compared: monitoring, medicines, myomectomy, and hysterectomy, with what each can and cannot achieve
  • Uterus-preserving surgery discussed first where suitable: laparoscopic myomectomy and hysteroscopic removal
  • Fertility-aware planning: how each treatment fits your pregnancy wishes

Urgent symptoms

Very heavy bleeding with faintness or breathlessness, sudden severe pelvic pain, or fever with worsening pain or foul-smelling discharge needs immediate assessment. Go to the nearest emergency department; do not wait for a WhatsApp reply.

Why patients choose this care

Warm, evidence-based support at every step

No single “best” treatment

The right option depends on your symptoms, the fibroid’s location and size, anaemia, and your pregnancy plans. The plan is decided with you, never from a scan measurement alone.

Uterus-preserving options first

Myomectomy removes fibroids while keeping the uterus. Where suitable, this can be done laparoscopically, and fibroids inside the uterine cavity can often be treated hysteroscopically.

Honest about every path

Hysterectomy, uterine artery embolisation, and focused ultrasound are also explained: what they involve, and why none is the automatic next step after a diagnosis.

Questions about this care

Frequently asked questions

What is the best treatment for uterine fibroids?
There is no single best treatment for everyone. The right choice depends on your symptoms, the fibroid’s size and location, whether you have anaemia, and your pregnancy plans. Options include monitoring, medicines, myomectomy, and hysterectomy, discussed together rather than decided from a scan measurement alone.
Can fibroids be treated without surgery?
Yes, some fibroids can be managed without surgery. If symptoms are absent or manageable, regular monitoring may be all that is needed, and medicines can reduce bleeding or pain. That is different from removing the fibroids permanently, review matters if bleeding, pain, or pregnancy plans change.
Which medicine is best to shrink fibroids?
No medicine is best for everyone. Some mainly control bleeding or pain; selected hormone-suppressing treatments can shrink fibroids temporarily, and symptoms may return after they stop. A hormonal intrauterine system may reduce bleeding in suitable patients, but it does not remove fibroids. The choice needs a doctor’s assessment, not self-prescribing from an online list.
Can diet, vitamins, or exercise shrink fibroids?
There is no proven diet, supplement, or “detox” that cures or shrinks fibroids. Healthy habits support general wellbeing, but they are not a treatment. Check with your doctor before starting any supplement, and keep the monitoring plan you have agreed.
Are there options other than medicines or surgery?
Uterine artery embolisation and focused ultrasound are additional treatments available in specialist settings. They are not services advertised at Blossom Women Wellness Clinic, and suitability, including the implications for future pregnancy, needs an individual assessment. Your consultation can clarify which options fit your case and where specialist referral would be needed.
What causes uterine fibroids?
There is no single established cause. Hormones such as oestrogen and progesterone, and genetic factors, appear to contribute to fibroid growth, and family history can play a part. Fibroids are non-cancerous and very common, having them is not a result of anything you did wrong.
Do fibroids affect pregnancy or fertility?
Many women with fibroids conceive naturally. The effect on fertility depends partly on a fibroid’s location, especially whether it changes the shape of the uterine cavity. Share your pregnancy plans at the first consultation so treatment is chosen accordingly; if you are already pregnant, tell your antenatal team about the fibroids.
How serious is my fibroid? Does size matter?
A measurement alone cannot say whether a fibroid is dangerous or needs surgery. Location, symptoms, pressure on nearby organs, anaemia, and pregnancy plans all matter, and even small fibroids can cause significant symptoms. Bring your report for a full interpretation rather than relying on a size chart.
What are the signs that a fibroid is breaking down?
A fibroid can degenerate when its blood supply becomes insufficient, typically causing pain or cramping. This cannot be confirmed at home, new or severe pelvic pain always needs assessment, because other conditions cause similar symptoms. New discharge, or passing tissue, also needs review; do not pull on any protruding tissue.
What is recovery like after fibroid surgery?
Recovery depends on the procedure and approach: laparoscopic and hysteroscopic routes usually allow a faster return to normal activity than open surgery. Before any operation, ask specifically about time off work, lifting, exercise, and pregnancy planning, and about risks such as bleeding, infection, and scarring. New fibroids can develop after myomectomy.
What does fibroid treatment cost in Jaipur?
Cost depends on the consultation, tests, medicines, procedure type, hospital stay, and follow-up your case needs; there is no single package price that fits every patient. Ask the clinic for current consultation charges, and if surgery is advised, request an itemised estimate including insurance or cashless arrangements before booking.
